Jennifer Lopez & Constance Wu Lead All-Star Stripper Con Game

Excitement is quite high for the true life crime tale Hustlers, which finds a group of strippers pulling off the ultimate con game. Today, STX has unleashed the first trailer, which teams Jennifer Lopez and Constance Wu in an All-Star cast. The movie hits theaters this fall.

STX is proud to present the first trailer for Hustlers, which was written and directed by Lorene Scafaria and stars the powerful ensemble of Constance Wu, Jennifer Lopez, Julia Stiles, Keke Palmer, Lili Reinhart, Lizzo, and Cardi B not quite like you have ever seen them before.

Hustlers follows a crew of savvy former strip club employees who band together to turn the tables on their Wall Street clients. The film is inspired by the article published by New York Magazine entitled "The Hustlers at Scores" written by Jessica Pressler. Producers include Elaine Goldsmith Thomas, Jessica Elbaum, Jennifer Lopez, Benny Medina, Will Ferrell and Adam McKay.

Lorene Scafaria first made a big impression as a filmmaker with the 2012 sleeper hit Seeking a Friend for the End of the World, which teamed Steve Carell and Keira Knightley as a pair of mismatched individuals trying to make it through the apocalypse. She followed that up with the 2015 comedic drama The Meddler starring Susan Sarandon and Rose Byrne. She has also made a few TV movies and has directed a number of New Girl episodes.

Hustlers has one of the fastest turnarounds for production this year. Shooting only began last March, with the first set photos featuring Jennifer Lopez appearing on April Fools' Day. The production garnered quite a bit of attention as the all-star cast gathered to shoot around the New York area. Throughout April, we were treated to various set photos and video of the cast as they transformed into strippers of the highest caliber.

Riverdale star Lili Reinhart got a lot of hearts pounding when she showed off some of her pole dancing moves on Instagram, gathering a lot of attention for her provocative and surprising dark turn from The CW, even if Riverdale does deal with some pretty adult themes at times. The movie also made headlines when breakout pop star Lizzo decided to use the movie to launch her feature film career.

STX has debuted a number of photos from the movie along with the first trailer, which you can check out below. The movie will hit theaters on September 13, ushering in the first wave of Oscar season hopefuls. Will Hustlers be bringing in some big awards heat this year? It's far too early to tell, but this looks like the exact kind of exciting endeavor that will certainly get people talking.

Knives Out Trailer Reveals Rian Johnson's All-Star Murder Mystery

Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Looper writer-director Rian Johnson's Knives Out will be hitting a theater near you this November and the movie sports one killer cast including Daniel Craig, Chris Evans, Michael Shannon, Lakeith Stanfield, Jamie Lee Curtis, and more. And today we have the movie's trailer for you to check out.

For those of you out there that might not know, this new Rian Johnsonmovie is being described as a modern take on the classic whodunit murder mystery. More specifically, the flick centers on a family gathering gone horribly awry when the family's patriarch (played by The Sound of Music star Christopher Plummer) dies, and two detectives (Craig and Stanfield) are sent to investigate the scene.

I don't know about you, but just the movie's premise has got me thinking of a modern day version of Jonathan Lynn and Debra Hill's 1985 adaptation of the boardgame Clue. That killer comedy featured Lesley Ann Warren as Ms. Scarlet, Martin Mull as Col. Mustard, Madeline Kahn as Mrs. White, Christopher Lloyd as Prof. Plum, Eileen Brennan as Mrs. Peacock, and Michael McKean as Mr. Green. Tim Curry joined them as an original character named Wadsworth along with other original characters such as Yvette played by Colleen Camp, and Mr. Boddy played by Lee Ving.

Will this Knives Out motion picture be anything like that version of Clue? God, I hope so. After all, the movie is one of the films Johnson listed as an influence on Knives Out. The other classic mystery thrillers he mentioned include Sidney Lumet's Deathtrap with Michael Caine and Christopher Reeve, and Robert Altman's Gosford Park with Helen Mirren, Clive Owen, Ryan Phillippe, and Maggie Smith. And let's not forget Sidney Lumet's 1974 take on Agatha Christie's Murder on the Orient Express which was recently remade by Kenneth Branagh with a cast that included Johnny Depp, Daisy Ridley, Penélope Cruz, Willem Dafoe, Judi Dench, Josh Gad, and Michelle Pfeiffer.

Other murder-mystery movies Johnson cited as influences include films I'm not overly familiar with such as Evil Under the Sun, Murder by Death, The Last of Sheila, The Mirror Crack'd, Something's Afoot, and The Private Eyes. Again, I'm not overly familiar with these titles, but if you are, then I hope that gets you even more excited for this movie.

As mention above the killer cast for Knives Out includes Daniel Craig as Det. Benoit Blanc, Chris Evans as Alex Robinson, Lakeith Stanfield as Det. Troy Archer, Michael Shannon as Jack Bressler, Ana de Armas as Marta, Jamie Lee Curtis as Linda Robinson, and Don Johnson as Morris Robinson. Toni Collette will join them along with Christopher Plummer, Jaeden Martell, Katherine Langford, Riki Lindhome, Edi Patterson, Raúl Castillo, Noah Segan, Frank Oz, and M. Emmet Walsh.

Rian Johnson directs Knives Out from an original screenplay he penned himself and also produces along with Ram Bergman. The film will feature music by Nathan Johnson, cinematography by Steve Yedlin, and editing by Bob Ducsay. FilmNation Entertainment, Media Rights Capital, and Ram Bergman Productions are the production companies behind the scenes of the flick which will be distributed into a theater near you by Lionsgate on November 27, 2019.
