We have a bombshell for zombie lovers out of San Diego Comic-Con: The Walking Dead is officially coming to the big screen. AMC, Skybound and Universal Pictures have revealed an ominous, brief teaser for the untitled Rick Grimes Walking Dead movie movie, which will bring back the character of Rick Grimes, as portrayed by Andrew Lincoln. Not much has been revealed at this time, but we now know this is going to be a theatrically-released event.
The teaser truly is just meant to give a sense of atmosphere. We see a helicopter flying toward a city skyline. Dark and eerie score is playing in the background. Everything is cloaked in heavy shadow. We don't actually see any characters appear on screen. Then The Walking Dead title card is revealed, before the classic theme from the show kicks in. We then get the big reveal in the form of the massive tag at the end, which reads as follows.

Fierce Target is finally complete after years of waiting. The seeds for this project were started way back in 2007 when aspiring actor and martial arts master Tamas Nadas tried out for a role in a short film by writer/director Emilio Lavizzi, who at the time was looking for experienced fighters and stuntmen. Tamas was exactly what Lavizzi was looking for and the rest in history. Lavizzi and Tamas became friends and then the idea for Fierce Target was born. If you're getting Tommy Wiseau and Greg Sestero from The Room vibes, you're not too far off.
Fierce Target is being marketed as a fast paced action thriller about a rebel car thief who helps a 12-year old girl, who is in danger. As their two worlds collide, they quickly become the targets of a crooked Senator and his security team who then launches a ruthless campaign to destroy them. It has a pretty decent storyline, but things quickly fall apart within the first 30 seconds or so from the trailer when one discovers the acting is about as good as The Room or maybe even worse.
Fierce Target has been described as a cross between The Transporter and Snatch, with intense character driven, "innovative kick ass action." However, one is going to have to dig pretty deep to find it buried in the bowels of this action movie. The project stars Chloe Gunther Chung, Tamas Nadas (Millennium Bugs), Emilio Lavizzi (The Exchange), Bryan Hanna (Mega Shark vs Kolossus), Fabrice Sopoglian, Thom Mulligan (RoboWoman), Don Worley, and more. In addition to starring, Fierce Target was also written and directed by Lavizzi.
Tamas Nadas and Emilio Lavizzi are both European immigrants who came to the US for the same reason: to become actors. Ok, so it's not exactly like Tommy Wiseau and Greg Sestero, but it's pretty close. Nadas and Lavizzi met in California and started their journey together and Fierce Target was written while Lavizzi lived in South of France. As for his main inspiration behind the project, he reveals the action and martial arts movies produced in the 1980s and 1990s were what fueled this project. The martial arts choreography in Fierce Action was grounded to suit a down and dirty action scenario and it's not for the faint of heart. Apparently, "films like this are rarely produced anymore," so you might not want to snooze on this gem.
Tamas Nadas is a three-time world champion and eight-time European Champion. Additionally, he was a US National Brazilian Ju-Jitsu Champion in 2012. In 2017, he won silver medal and bronze medal at the World Police and Fire Games, which is the second biggest tournament in the World after the summer Olympic Games. In 2018, he was inducted into the US Martial Arts Hall of Fame, and continues developing projects for his production companies, Busy Day Productions and Dark Road Pictures. So, if you don't like Fierce Target, you might want to keep it to yourself. There is currently no release date set, but one should be announced soon.
